After sharing the story of the Gingerbread Man, everyone was keen to make some gingerbread. We discovered what we needed to make some and found a recipe to follow. The yummy smell filled the school as they were cooked and everyone commented how wonderful they smelt and looked and wanted to eat them. But they were for room 7 only. Luckily none of them jumped out of the oven and ran away! We reflected on how to make them as part of our procedural writing and some children recorded their reflections, which we then podcasted.
